Well, this year I started another major quality review, in fact, I started on the 30th December 2011. I made many changes, adopting a new method of determining which articles to edit, and glad to report some great successes so far this year. Traffic currently up by about 62%.

Quality runs deep? You’ve got to be kidding. The number of spam induced websites ranking above quality websites since the latest Panda update is a laughable joke.

Cheers Rob, it was touch and go. My wife set an ultimatum – I had 4 months to recover my business or get another job, the deadline being when our son started school. Thankfully things improved. Still a lot of hard work though. Spend most of my time trying to develop and grow my other sites but that is such a slow process. In a few years I would like to have an revenue spread evenly across 3-4 sites really, but that seems just a dream right now!

Jon… This is an amazing story of commitment and many would have hung it up after losing 50% of their traffic and revenue, but you hung in and adapted and that’s what being an entrepreneur is all about. Thanks for the inspiration. -Rob
