Thank you, Pavan! I'm glad you found it useful. Indeed, as you mentioned, the overall keyword strategy stays pretty much the same be it for content marketing or SEO or PPC purposes. Thanks!

Stephen, thanks for the comment! Really good point on the hashtags! We should definitely keep hashtags in mind when looking up the social data sources. "Hashtags as keywords" will work in some industries but not others. Also, in essence, a hashtag is a data structuring tool, which can provide some good insights on your niche. However, if your niche is not buzzin' on Twitter (i.e. Double Shoot Openers & Tips for harvesting equipment :) it might be tricky to use hashtags in your strategy. Thanks again for the comment!

Really good insight on Keyword search for content marketing purpose. You have very well discussed about each and every tool used for keyword search. I would like to describe my own experience about keywords research. Means if you are targeting your content only for social media then you can use terms used with # tags as keywords for your content marketing and that terms really helps me a lot to decide keywords for content when I am targeting only for social media. Alexander what you think about this?

Thanks for your comment, Nick! Can you clarify what you mean by evergreen content? Just list a couple of example so that readers can benefit from your expertise. Thanks again!

Great post Alexander, but whilst targeting trending topics can be a very good approach, lets not forget the oldie but goodie that is evergreen content.

Often trending topics are quickly forgotten, and traffic drops. Evergreen usually delivers much less initial traffic, but for an indefinite time span. I use a combination of both evergreen and trending.
