Overuse as well as underuse of commas – both is equally distracting I’d say. About point no.2, I don’t know about commas but one of the most misused punctuation, by far, has to be the semi-colon. Cheers for this great ‘back to the basics’ article!

Hi Linda, thanks for the article. Where I come from, it’s totally different. Our language uses so many commas, it’s unbelievable. I got used to it and started to use them in English as well. I know I’m using them too much but in a way I think your article really helps!
