Great article Ruud. I have to be honest and say that even though I've been in the online game for almost 10 years I have never really paid attention to Rae. I've come across her blog several times in those years but somehow I never really paid attention. After reading your post I have decided that I will need to go there and see what the lady has to offer. She definitely sounds like she knows her stuff.

Tim, were I to say then some people might feel hurt, even a bit offended.

There's no big secret here though. All are known to really give to the community, to inspire and at times to give people a virtual push in the back. A "get started! just do it!"

RMH: if you plan to be smart about affiliate marketing or SEO, Rae is one of three people you should pay attention to on Twitter . She post there daily at @sugarrae and, less frequently, on her blog Sugarrae.

Rudd, who are the other two people?

Good points, Joel. Even with that passion though I think Rae's point in her post Only Wanting the “Thrill of the Chase” holds true too;

It all seems so mundane. Where is the excitement you felt a few weeks ago? It’s gone and your desire to work on the site wanes.

There's a part after passion that's just plain old hard work.

Great article Rae! I took around 1 year to become profitable starting my seo company and finally the 12 hour days and sleepless nights have been paying off - but for one year I was losing month over month trying to grow, manage employees and invest in obtaining top search rankings.

My opinion is that you have a much higher chance of succeeding at doing something if you are passionate about it, otherwise, laziness or lack of interest will usually take over and ruin your plans.
