Today is election day here in the U.S., and I have already done my civic duty by voting. The lines were long, but it looked like everyone was patient. For the last month or so, I have been attempting to find out as much as possible about not only my voting choices, but also about the election process itself. Most often, I used Google to search for whatever I was looking for. In general, my searches were incredibly frustrating. After hours of hunting through the SERPs, I would eventually find what I was looking for, but the process was tiresome. More often than not, there were no up-to-date, relevant pages returned. Most results were from previous years. Search engines still have a long way to go before they can consider themselves fresh and relevant. Are you listening, Google?
