I think it really proves the idea that you have to work on having a solid &#039;real world&#039; brand as well as in SM. These companies worked hard on all levels to reach their authority status, and if any other brand wants to compete with that, I think they need to keep that in mind.

And I agree, social media is turning into a massive power for businesses. I just think that too many companies jump into this medium without thinking things through. It becomes so easy to reach a target market that it becomes almost deceiving.

The way I see it, the leading brands of the future will be those who combine their online and offline power in a way that ultimately benefits everyone.
