Great post man.

Guess I need to get my self ready in case I make it to the front page of digg, LOL.

This page has been bookmarked, so when I need a smile I can come back and read it all over again :)

OMG.. yer freakin kidding me right? Say it ain't so bro.

Ya just know I am enjoying your hangover... AM I TALKING LOUD ENOUGH???

As discussed soooooo many times before, it's all about the branding. Getting potential demo(graphic) eyes on the site. Aspects such as conversions and SEO are really a secondary consideration.

If folks get caught up in the '15 minutes' of fame than they have missed the boat and too many folks do so. If you aren't reaching the target demo with the SMM campaign, then it is wasted entirely. Traffic costs in terms of the efforts to achieve it and with the infrastructure ( bandwidth etc..). There are associated costs which need to be balanced.

As you know I have had issues with SMM over many aspects. I still see some value, just a hard nut to crack realistically.

I do enjoy watchin ye suffer though.... thanks man... he he

Well, Digg is in most cases just a big waste of time, yes, you get lots of visitors, but quite few will actually come back or even visit another page, and they really really really don't click on ads. On the other hand, if you don't use caching for your blog, you'll really really regret it.
