Exactly, C Speno. I guess the dilemma that most businesses have with social media strategy is that they take it to extereme levels! Some of them create a very rigid and iflexible SMM plans, overlooking the ever-changing and unpredictable nature of SM. Others equate strategy to stress and see it as an unnecessary daunting task. These businesses set themselves up for failure unfortunately.

Savvy businesses, on the other hand, perceive their SM strategy as a work in progress that they keep enhancing after they get their hands dirty and learn the ropes of social media. I guess applying the Lean Canvas business model is a great way to help businesses take a massive leap in the right direction at minimal time and effort. Did you apply it before? Please try it out and let me know how it goes. To our success :)

Another vote for both consistency and strategy. As to strategy, would you start a new business without a business plan and see success? Probably not. Same goes for strategy in social media. We've been having a discussion in one of my LI groups about value of the Insight on FB. I've shared your post as you have some good reminders here.

Thanks for sharing!

I couldn't agree more, Keith. Consistency is critical to social media marketing success but strategy ensures that you are on the right ladder of success! Thank you for your thoughtful comment. To our success :).

I think the most important part of this - is be consistent in whatever you do. I also agree that a strategy is really important, do what you do and it will pay off. Great information and thanks for sharing.
