I originally missed this as you posted it the day I started out for my week-long stay in London, combining SMX London 2007 and several other things into the one trip.

I have noticed that many of the top commenters have a background in various forums, and have spent a large amount of time helping others to learn.

I see Sphinn as an extension of that. Besides I rarely find a story that someone else hasn’t already submitted to Sphinn a few hours earlier.
