Google images is a mind reader

I have to tell this little story, even though it's a little mean-spirited, but I don't really mean it to be. For those of you who watch American Idol, Melinda Doolittle is turning out to be the best by far. I really like her, she sings great, and she's extremely sweet. But...well...she's kinda funny looking. (Sorry, Melinda). Before I'd seen her enough times to remember her name, I just called her that "no-neck chick". Tonight, we were watching her sing, and it dawned on us that really she looks like Shrek.

So I decided to go grab a couple of images - one of Shrek, and one of Melinda and compare them side by side. The first thing I did was go to Google images and search for [Melinda Doolittle]. To my extreme surprise, in the first row of images (5 images to a row), the first 3 images were of Melinda Doolittle and the next 2 images were of Shrek! Either Google images is a mind reader, and REALLY KNEW what I was searching for...or...more likely...other people have seen the resemblance. But seeing that while searching was just spooky! Which Google service secretly implanted a mind-reading chip in my brain, anyway?

The below comparison pic really doesn't show the similarity as much as I'd like. That's a good pic of Melinda, but it doesn't show the faces she often makes that causes her to look like Shrek. Still, it's the best I can come up with in the middle of the night.

I hope Ms. Doolittle never sees this post, because I'd hate to hurt her feelings.
