Hope to see you at WMW Conference in June

WebmasterWorld is having its next Search Conference in New Orleans June 21-24 this year. Since it is being held near me, I could not pass up the chance to attend. This will be my first search conference ever, although I have been wanting to attend any of them for a long time. But time and budget constraints were always a problem. Not this time though! I am looking forward to attending this one and I really hope I get to meet those of you that I speak with every day over the net. I hope I also get to meet some of you that I have never spoken to before!

The keynote speaker at the conference has just been announced and it is John Battelle - co-founding editor of Wired Magazine. I read John's blog every day, and I look forward to hearing him speak. You can find out more about the conference and register for it at www.webmasterworld.com/conference/. They have not yet updated the page to include what sessions will be held, but they should be updating that shortly.

Please do not think that you will have me as your guide to New Orleans. I get lost in a paper bag, and I can assure you that if I tried to show you around, we would end up in Canada. LOL. Seriously, I purposely booked my room at the Park Plaza (where the conference is being held), so that there would be no chance of me not being able to find the conference. (Ok, I might still get lost inside the hotel, but there's a pretty good chance I'll stumble across the meeting rooms).

Unlike Randfish, I do not have bright yellow shoes to wear to identify me, but I will be wearing bright pinks, greens, and purples, if that helps. And I will have a matching pink, green, and purple striped handbag. So if you attend, look for me, and introduce yourself to me if you see me. Let's get together, have fun, and oh yeah, maybe learn a thing or two. 🙂
