TGIF – ^ㅂ^

Welcome to another edition of TGIF. I hope that the week has been kind to you and that you have made the most of it. The change in seasons brings another shift and a new beginning. What are you looking forward to? If you can't think of anything it's time to create something. Here comes the weekend and it is full of fun times to be had so make sure you don't miss out.

Without further ado...

Stuff I really liked this week:

Joel Cock's art - colourful pieces that are also translucent and heavy with detail, very cool I say.

Creative bus stop ads - I especially like the swing one, I would definitely be having a go on that.

Scott Parkin's complaint letter generator - this is a lot of fun, I haven't sent any though. Will you?

The internet mapping project - please draw a map of the internet as you see it. Indicate your "home".

25 logos with hidden messages - I can't believe I never saw the amazon [a-z].

Facts:

The word "Technology" comes from the Greek "Technicos" which means "Artistic professional".

Originally, Nintendo was a playing card manufacturer.

Ole Kirk Christiansen, a Danish carpenter, almost went bankrupt so in 1932 he started making wooden toys and called the company "Lego"

"Lego" comes from "leg godt" meaning "play well" but it also means "I put together" in Latin.

There are so many wonderful things that we can get out and do at the weekends and some may ask "but why?" and the answer really is "Just because" - what a luxury 🙂
