This year marks a very special milestone for Search Engine People: 25 years in business.
We recently had the opportunity to celebrate our 25th anniversary with our team, friends, partners and members of our local community. We were especially honoured to welcome Pickering Mayor Kevin Ashe, who joined us in recognizing this important milestone.
Search Engine People started in 2001 with a simple goal: help businesses get found online and turn that visibility into real business results. A lot has changed since then, from the early days of Google to social media, mobile search and now AI, but that goal has remained at the heart of what we do.
During the celebration, SEP President Wisam Abdulaziz reflected on the company's journey and its connection to Durham Region:
“SEP started right here in Durham, first in Ajax and then in Pickering. Over the years, we were often told that a digital agency needed to be downtown Toronto to grow and attract great people. We chose to stay. Twenty-five years later, I think we've proven that Durham and the east end are great places to build a business, attract talented people, grow and thrive.”
Over the past 25 years, SEP has had the privilege of working with thousands of businesses, helping them navigate an industry that never stops changing.
But this anniversary isn't just about looking back. Search is changing again, perhaps more dramatically than ever, as AI transforms how people discover businesses, products and information. We're excited to help our clients navigate this next chapter just as we've helped them through every major change over the past 25 years.
Most importantly, thank you to our team, our clients, our partners and our community. Twenty-five years would not have been possible without you.
Here's to the next 25 years of Search Engine People.
