Tomorrow, March 8th, Microsoft will unveil a beta version of its new (yes, newer than the one they have now) search engine at www.live.com. So what's new?

  • Microsoft's own picture and video search. They are dumping Picsearch (for this version only; Picsearch will still be used on MSN for now).
  • A sliding scale showing how much of a page to reveal (no idea what that means)
  • A smart scroll to allow all search results on a single page (that should be interesting to see)
  • A search that will encompass regular searches, news, rss feeds, email (?), local, shopping, and MSN Spaces.

In addition to the new search engine, a revamped live.com site will be presented along with a new Windows Live Toolbar beta.

Exciting stuff! Can't wait to see what they have up their sleeves.
