MSN launching first phase of new search engine

Tomorrow, MSN will begin the first phase of its new search engine. For now, it will be mostly cosmetic changes, as they move to a more google-like minimalist style. However, some other interesting features will be introduced as well. Although MSN currently uses Yahoo/Overture search results, it will drop the paid-inclusion listings from its natural SERPs. That should make the blood boil of all the SiteMatch customers. Probably the most interesting thing however is that Microsoft will be giving us a peek at its new search engine algorithm that MSN will launch later this year. We'll supposedly be able to try it out - sort of 'kick the tires' of the new search engine. SEO just keeps getting more and more interesting. To read more on this story, check out the ZDNet article.
