Where will it end? Google just announced their real estate listings. Will Google be the one-stop shopping service of the web? Will everything be filtered through Google first? Yeah, sure, these listings eventually get to the people's websites, but it's all getting funneled via Google first. And well, that just feels like an awful tight squeeze to me. And the choke hold is getting tighter and tighter with each passing day. I'm passing out tinfoil hats, everyone, but I think you might be grateful for them in the not too distant future. You know the future I'm talking about...GoogleWorld! Scary...just downright scary.

    Donna,

I am a little confused, how is this different from what they have been doing before today – isn’t it the same Google Base?

there’s nothing new here, really, except they appear to have added some new upload and opt-out features. as for this whole notion of a scary world of google – i get most of my traffic from them already, so I’m not worried. i would be worried if they didn’t let me put my listings on their site and instead made me go through lead sellers (that’s what used to happen). this is a plus as they are giving brokers free traffic and better organic traffic. save the conspiracy theories for 3rd world despots!

Broker, what fun would it be if I saved the conspiracy theories for 3rd world despots! Anyone could do that! 🙂
