Presumably Graham Bell thought he was talking about chopping wood?

LOL! The evolution of the telephone sure must have exceeded Mr Bell’s wildest expectations. Imagine a world without telephones, and telephone lines to carry data for internet!

When Bell invented the telephone he thought it would be used to let people know they should expect a telegram. Sometimes even inventors don’t fully understand the impact their invention may create.
