Search Engine People reports it is one of the first, if not the first company in Canada to become Google Adwords Qualified.

We have received notification from Google that we have, in fact, met all the requirements of a Google Adwords Quality Company, states Jeff Quip, President and CEO of Search Engine People, a Toronto based search marketing agency. In Googles own words, this is an important milestone of authentication. To do so as one of the first Canadian companies is a point of both personal and professional pride and characteristic of our leadership role in the Canadian search marketing space.

Search Engine People not only met the requirements, we surpassed them and currently have on staff no fewer than four Google Adwords Qualified Professionals. The minimum requirement is two, Quipp adds. Search Engine People continues to grow, and to keep pace with the changing search marketing landscape and we view it as not only a challenge, but a responsibility to be a front runner in this truly fast paced race.

To the best of our knowledge, we were among the first, if not the first company to recognize and blog about this important change on the Canadian search landscape, says Quipp. But as we all know, in business, recognition is only the first step, acting on opportunity is equally if not more important and we are, again, if not the first then among the first companies in Canada to become qualified.

The first step in becoming a Google Adwords Qualified Company requires being a member country in the program, which up until only days ago was not possible for Canadian companies. This is good news, not only for Canadian companies and for Google but for the Canadian search landscape as well as in helping to create a minimum standards benchmark, in concert with other programs like those offered through Yahoo! and MSN.

I love helping to make web sites make it. From the ground up if needed. CSS challenges, server-side scripting, user and device friendly JavaScript tricks search engines have no problems with. Tracking how the sites perform and then figuring out how to make that performance and the tracking better. I'm passionate about information. No matter how often I trim my feeds in my feed readers (yes, I use more than one), I always have a couple of hundred in there covering topics ranging from design to usability, from SEO to SEM, from life hacks to productivity blogs, from.... Well, you get the idea, I guess. Knowledge and information management is close to my heart. Has to be with the amount of information I track. My "trusted system" is usually in flux but always at hand and fully searchable. My paid passion job at Search Engine People sees me applying my passions and knowledge to a wide array of problems, ones I usually experience as challenges. It's good to have you here: pleased to meet you!
