The Ballad of Social Media

After my recent posts on SEO, social media, and goal setting, I thought it'd be nice to break away from my addiction to search marketing and focus on something more light hearted. Inspired by our SEO funnies contest a couple of months ago, here's my rendition of a 'ballad to social media'

To the tune of "these are some of our favourite things" from the Sound of Music:

Matt Cutts on Paid Links and Google quite Smitten
Webmasters scared and PageRank thats Bitten
Inbound Links and Authority Pages
These are some of our favorite things

Jeff Quipp and The Gypsy Sphinning those pages
Dosh Dosh and Andy are Social Media sages
Whether or Digg or Reddit we'll win
These are some of our favorite things.

Humorous linkbait, and quizzes with badges
Learning some more from our Tim Nash's
Blogs with traffic, with do follow links
These are a few of my favorite things

When the SERP Drops
When the PR Stings
When I'm feeling sad
I simply remember my favorite sphinns
And then I don't feel so bad
🙂

I'm not really any good at singing, but I'd love if someone did a video of this on Youtube now!

love it, of course I now can’t get the sound of music out of my head but this is a small price to pay.

This is great. Definitely worth “vlogging” on YouTube. If I could sing, I’d do it for sure. Thanks for the break in monotony.

    Wow! This is pretty amazing!

We’ve been doing humor hook linkbait on the web since 1995 at Zug.com

It would be great to get your feedback on the comedy linkbait angle!
