Many plugins use very common javascript libraries. The plugin may work by itself but adding a second one may cause a resource conflict " which may result in both of them failing to perform. If a plugin works with your current version of WordPress that does not mean they will work with the next WordPress version. Make wise choices :)

I am definitely going to investigate the Typekit plugin – that should make it pretty simple to make a unique looking website even for a complete web-design no-hope like myself. Anything to save me from the standard fonts for page titles will be worth having.

Thanks for the mention of WP Customer Reviews. I will also be checking out SecurePress.. there are so many "security" plugins out there, it's hard to find one that works good without affecting performance too much.

  3. Aaron, you bring up a great point with security. Two things to keep in mind – plugins are an easy target for hackers + using the default password is the most likely way people can hack in. So, please, choose your plugins wisely and make sure you customize your passwords!
